Voyage

Here is my work in progress for the voyage show. I am using a mix of acrylic, gouache, gesso, heavy gesso and 'gloss medium and varnish' on illustration board =) Man I can't wait to take the tape off! While doing this painting I watched Crash, Tyson, Ping Pong, and just started 21.
The Voyage Show, which includes a bunch of other talented artists, will be up from 10.17 -11.21 at Liliya China Bistro, located on 102 W 2nd Street Los Angeles, CA

AE86 Trueno...Part II

I've been really motivated lately, I don't know if its because... Beyonce had one of the best music videos of all time... or if its because Michael Jordan stated there is no I in team... but there is an 'I' in 'Win'.... Anyways, I wanted to post something new. So I re-visited this guy a while back and put in some extra love in regards to the lighting with the tremendous help of Hai Ho, Matt Nava, Juan Carlos, and Alan Torres. Super smart 3d Artists with amazing works. I'm still working out some wonkiness but decided I'm going to leave the car be until I get a faster computer!
Birds Eye

One day, a surfer
paddles out and finds himself
gliding through a field of crystal clear water,
and a bright field
of endless diamonds
blanketed under the sun.

That was a test at putting some words behind the visuals for this personal project. I probably should have written the story out first but going back and forth like this is still pretty fun. =)
AE86 Trueno

Ever since I started learning 3d it has been a goal of mine to model a car. I can't believe I actually came this far. It is still a work in progress but I am pretty excited about the possible directions I can take this model. Eventually I will model more of the interior (steering wheel and dashboard). Then refine the lights by getting into the finer details of the casing. Who knows, maybe even an 1.2 gigawatt engine. Hope you like it!
